Hinton High School Back to School Enrollment

8th-12th Grade Students please return your Chromebooks to the High School, Monday-Thurs from 9-12 this week. We are working on updates for them for the next year.

Chromebook Update: 8th-12th Grade Students, We need you to return your Chromebooks this week, Tuesday-Thursday 9-12. We are working on some updates and technology changes. Your device will be checked out to you again in August.

The Hinton High School Beta Club was notified that our club grew by 10% from 2018-2019! We have been named a 2019-2020 National Beta School of Distinction! This award is an honor for Beta Clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to award those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year. National Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. Since its beginnings in 1934, National Beta has been committed to providing students with a positive experience in a supportive manner in grades 4-12. The organization recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, and fosters leadership skills.

Elementary and Middle School Parents, Report card pickup is scheduled for Wednesday (May 27) and Thursday (May 28) from 9:00-2:00. You will go to the main doors of the school your child attended to pick it up. Also, if you have not already, please fill out the online enrollment form for the site your child will be attending in the Fall. We need these completed as soon as possible!

Students, This is a reminder that CKTC will be at the High School today from 1-2 to pickup your textbooks.

Parents and Seniors, Due to the rain, we have decided to postpone the Graduation Parade until tomorrow at 2PM. The forecast looks like it will be nice, sunny, and in the 80s. We want you to enjoy this as much as you can, so we feel that moving it until tomorrow is best.

Senior Parade! Come Show Your Support! The Parade Is Scheduled For Saturday, May 16 at 10AM, If The Rain Moves In, We Will Move The Parade To Sunday at 2PM. Be Watching For Updates.

Seniors, During the ceremony tonight, Mr. Hohmann will tell you to move your tassels from right to left. Please take a picture or video of yourself with your cap on doing this and share in the comments of the virtual ceremony or Facebook Page! We want to see you!

Testive is offering free online proctored practice SATs/ACTs tests every Wednesday and Saturday through the summer. Testive's weekly online practice tests emulate the experience of an official SAT or ACT to give students an incredibly productive prep experience. The online tests are supported by a Testive Student Advisor, run a full 3 hours (just like the real exams) and can be done from the comfort and safety of home. And scores are given immediately after the test is completed. CHROMEBOOKS *SENIORS* Please make arrangements to return your Chromebook to the High School on Monday, May 11th or Tuesday, May 12th anytime from 9:00-1:00. All other students in grades 8th-11th you will keep your Chromebooks and bring them back with you when school starts in the Fall. We have them checked out to you and know which device you have. Remember to take care of them.

Students Check This Out! Your SAT/ACT Prep Is Now Sponsored! The Project donates the full retail value of the SAT/ACT PowerPrep programs ($350-$1500). The student pays only a nominal student-fee between $19.99 and $49.99 to offset some of the streaming and support expenses.
