
☄️Hinton Elementary☄️Our librarian, Mrs. Jaques, hides Golden Tickets in random books in the library. If a student finds one after reading the book, they will receive a snack and pop off of the comet cart. The 2nd Golden Ticket winner was 4th grader Lillian Meysing. Congratulations!


☄️Hinton Elementary☄️We celebrated our students during Friday's (1/19) morning assembly! Jackson Barringer, Kaitlyn Ehrhart, Dwain Gather, Jessie James, Vada Kokojan, Carter Pettyjohn, Jadon Rodriguez, Kord Walker and Caelyn Weaver joined the 25 AR points club. Nolan Perez and Newly Smith joined the 50 AR points club.
Grayson Gutierrez joined the 200 AR points club. The Marvin Reader winner was Ms. Roth's class, IXL top class was Mrs. Ingram's class and Top Reflex Math was Ms. Haddon's class. Congratulations to these students and teachers!

Julissa Alvarez, Noah Cockrell, Trustin Ehrhart, Kolten Hucksoll, McKenzie Klein, Wriley Maxwell, Pystal Stevens, Everly Taylor, Brody VanBuskirk, Austin Hahn and Zane Murray joined the 25 AR points club. Dalton Richards and Bodie Walsh joined the 50 AR points club. 100% fluency in multiplication students were Lillian Meysing, Jaxon Nichols, Dalton Richards and Logan Roberts. 100% fluency in addition/subtraction students were Newly Smith, Wylie Nulik and Nolan Perez. The Marvin Reader winner was Mrs. Morris's class, IXL top class was Mrs. Nolen's class and Top Reflex Math was Mrs. King's class. Congratulations to these students and teachers!




☄️Hinton Elementary☄️Our Comet Coupon winners for Friday, January 12 and Friday, January 19. Students can earn a comet coupon by remembering the word RULE. R stands for respecting others, U stands for using kind word/actions, L stands for learning by taking risks and E stands for engaging in safe activities. Students earned a Comet Coin to use at the Comet Cart on Friday.

Our HPS Board of Education spotlight goes out to board member Ken Spady today. Ken is our longest serving current board member and we appreciate the time and effort he continues to give to Hinton Public Schools!

In honor of School Board Recognition Month, we want to take time this week to introduce you to the faces that make up the Hinton School's Board of Education. Our first member to be recognized is Shaylee Hale. Shaylee is the newest member to join the board and we are excited to have her!


Today our staff had a professional development day. The topic covered today was Effective Parent Communication. It was presented by Amber Graham Fitzgerald. She is the Director of Member & Community Engagement for OSSBA (Oklahoma State School Boards Association) and the Past President of Oklahoma School Public Relations Association.







We celebrated our Teachers of the Year today. Hinton Elementary Teacher of the Year is Jennifer Hohmann, Hinton Middle School Teacher of the Year is Marissa Flood and Hinton High School Teacher of the Year is Sheila Klein. ☄️Our district Teacher of the Year is Jennifer Hohmann☄️ Congratulations to all 3 of these teachers!!
